| Answer | In general, we will get back to you within 12 hours on weekdays. |
| Question3 | What are the factors that will determine the quotation? |
| Answer | The quotation depends on a variety of factors, inclusive of the materials, quantities, tapes, slider types, the techniques involved and so forth. Please inform us of your requirements in detail when you submit an enquiry so we could offer you the best quotation. |
| Question4 | What are your payment terms? |
| Answer | L/C, T/T, PayPal and West Union are all acceptable to us .Please double check with us if you would like to change the payment method. |
| Question5 | Can you accept any customized design? |
| Answer | Yes. Customized/custom-made design is acceptable, including the custom-made sliders/pullers/teeth, teeth colors, tapes with mixed colors,customized textures,custom buttons,etc. |
| Question6 | Can we customize the colors or sizes and print our own logo? |
| Answer | Yes. Customized colors or sizes are acceptable. As for colors, SBS Color Card, YKK Color Card, Pantone Color Card, GCC Color Card, Taiwan Color Card are available for you to choose from. Additionally, we can design and print your logo as per your request. |
| Question7 | Can we request for a free sample? |
| Answer | Regular samples can always be provided free of charge if they are available in stock. If not, additional sample/mould fees will be charged to proceed with the production. Customers are supposed to bear the freight charge, which can be refunded following the order confirmation when applicable. Please double check with us. |
| Question8 | What's your average lead-time? How long will it take to receive our order? |
| Answer | Generally speaking, samples take 3-5 days while 10-15 days is required for mass production upon confirmation of the order, plus the time required for shipment/delivery. As for the metal zippers used for jeans, mass production takes less than 10 days. |
| Question9 | What's your manner of packing? |
| Answer | Based on the international packing standards, the packing manners may vary from customer to customer. We will try our best to meet your requirements so long as they conform to the conventional packing methods. Learn More |
| Question10 | How would you deliver the products to us? |
| Answer | There are a lot of choices available, including FOB Xiamen, CNF, CIF, etc. Generally speaking, DDP will be applied to large orders, while FEDEX, UPS, DHL, TNT and EMS are applicable to small orders. |
Zipper Knowledge
| Question1 | Will any dye transfer occur when white (light color) fabrics are used together with red (dark color/bright color) zippers? |
| Answer | Please confirm with our sales persons when you place an order. We are able to decrease the chances of dye transfer by improving the color fastness. Please note this might result in greater color difference. Additionally, a piece of lining cloth shall be used for separating the zipper from the fabric when sewing is performed. |
| Question2 | Will any dye transfer occur with the tapes? |
| Answer | Generally speaking, the color fastness reaches Grade 4 for most colors and Grade 3.5 for some special colors, for example, bright red. However, dye transfer would occur as a result of the chemical reaction that will easily take place between the disperse dye molecules in the zipper tapes and the plasticizer, adhesive agent, oiling agent contained in such fabrics as vinyl chloride that contains DOP, synthetic leather or fabrics whose surface is coated with resin. Hence, a piece of lining cloth shall be used for separating the fabric from the zipper when sewing is performed and the products in custody or storage should be separated from each other using the leatheroid. |
| Question3 | How to select a metal zipper according to the thickness of the fabrics? |
| Answer | A metal zipper with 4#+ square teeth is required for fabrics thicker than 12 ounces (340.2 grams), which can reduce the possibility of damage caused to the zipper. Metal zippers with 3# or 4# common teeth would easily break down in use in this case, with the teeth dropping off, splitting, etc. |
| Question4 | Can any washing technique be applied to the metal zippers? |
| Answer | Due to the diversity and complexity of the technologies involved in the washing process, customers are required to provide the washing method of the products for our assessment when placing an order. |
| Question5 | Would the central seam in nylon zippers with reverse slider be the same as that in the invisible zippers? |
| Answer | It is inadvisable to lay too much emphasis on the central seam, which may result in abnormal opening and closing of the zippers. Generally speaking, the central seam ranges from 0.3mm to 0.6mm. |
| Question6 | Will any color change occur if the nickel free platinum accessories are used together with the woolen products? |
| Answer | Color change will occur easily when the nickel free platinum accessories are used together with the cotton or woolen products, such as getting black, yellow, etc., which can be mainly attributed to the chemical reactions that take place between the residues introduced in bleaching, processing, etc. In spite of the protective treatment applied, the chemical reactions cannot be completely eliminated. To prevent any chemical reactions, please make sure the fabrics have been fully cleaned to a neutral state prior to batch production. |
| Question7 | Would you please explain the great color difference at the front and back of the water resistant zippers with adhesive tape? |
| Answer | Due to the characteristics of TPU, special reinforcement treatment is applied to ensure its firmness of binding with the tape. The complex reaction involved in the recombination process leads to darker colors. The darker the color, the greater the difference. In fact, there has not been any technology that can break through the great color difference by far. Please confirm with us before you place an order. Besides, please try to select from the 36 types of colors that are available for use. |
| Question8 | How do you control the shrinkage rate of the zippers? |
| Answer | The shrinkage rate falls below 4% and 1.5% for the nylon chains and finished products respectively, exclusive of some special products. The former also applies to the coated zippers, colored teeth & tapes, 3# nylon zippers as well as invisible zippers. |
| Question9 | Can the metal zippers match the spray painted sliders? |
| Answer | No. The paint will easily peel off due to the internal friction, which in turn will lead to the exposure of the zinc alloy. And fading will occur as a result of the electrolysis reaction that takes place easily between the exposed zinc alloy and the copper contained in the laundry detergent during laundering. |
| Question10 | Do you manufacture molded & coated nylon zippers with open end (O/E) or close end(C/E)? |
| Answer | No. This is actually one of the very few types of zippers that we don’t manufacture. |
Button Knowledge
| Question1 | What materials are your buttons made of? |
| Answer | Our buttons can be manufactured out of metal, polyester, plastic and natural materials. |
| Question2 | What does L stand for? |
| Answer | "L" stands for Ligne, which is a measurement system used for determining the size of buttons in the industry. You can easily convert inch/millimeter into ligne and vice versa. Take a look at our conversion chart here. |
| Question3 | What button sizes do you provide? |
| Answer | Various sizes are available, dependent on the type of button. |
| Question4 | How many holes can you design for flat buttons? |
| Answer | Flat buttons are also referred to as sew-through buttons. These buttons have holes in the middle, through which the thread is sewn to attach buttons to the garments. Generally speaking, we can manufacturer flat buttons with either 2 holes or 4 holes, with a wide variety of designs available for selection. |
| Question5 | Can your buttons be attached to knitted fabrics? |
| Answer | Please send your fabrics to us before placing an order so we could double check whether they are applicable or not. |
| Question6 | Can buttons be attached on uneven surface/thickness? |
| Answer | Attachment should NOT be made on uneven surface/thickness, which could tear the fabric and result in weak fastening/unfastening performance or detachment. |
| Question7 | Can buttons can attached to thin fabrics? |
| Answer | Buttons can be attached to such fabrics whose thickness ranges from 0.5mm-2mm. Attachment should Not be made on single-layered fabrics, in which case, folding or interlining is recommended to ensure secure attachment. |
| Question8 | Can your buttons withstand the washing treatment? |
| Answer | It depends. Please double check with us. Please follow the instructions below during the washing process. Please use neutral detergents. Avoid such corrosive chemical detergents as strong acid, strong base, etc., whose corrosiveness could result in the color fading, paint chip-off and deformation of resin buttons, metallic buttons (copper/alloy) and shell buttons. Attach the buttons after the washing treatment if applicable, as the chemical reactions involved in the washing process might lead to the corrosion and color change of buttons, regardless of the special treatment applied. |
| Question9 | Is it fine to iron buttons? |
| Answer | Make sure the iron does not come into direct contact with the buttons when ironing. Direct ironing will lead to the breakage or distortion of plastic buttons and result in the scratching or deformation of metallic buttons. Place a sheet of cloth over them before ironing. |
