Since the launch of Shenzhou 11 in 2016 to the successful mission of Shenzhou 19 this October, SBS spacesuit zippers have accompanied astronauts on nine space missions.

Spacesuit zippers are far from ordinary. Space missions demand products with outstanding reliability, stability, and safety: the tensile force that the spacesuit zippers can bear should be increased from 760 newtons to 2,000 newtons, and there must be no risk of getting stuck during use. The zippers used in spacesuits are independently developed by China, with materials and processes undergoing countless experiments and improvements. Every detail has been tested more than a hundred times.
