Denim Declared As The State Fabric Of California-The Future of Denim

It’s official. Denim is now the official state fabric of California. With an overwhelming majority of California’s legislature approving it, the bill for declaring denim as the official state fabric of California has finally been approved. Fifty-nine of the assembly voted for the bill, while only three were against it.

Light emitting fabrics capable of producing light for than 180 consecutive hours could soon enter the consumer market, thanks to recent research from the Organic Photonics and Electronics Group at Umea University in Sweden. Using game-changing light emitting electrochemical cells (LEC) during fabrication, the technology is capable of producing longer lasting, lighting weight fabrics at a significantly lower cost.
